Ingredients

Cookie Dough
  • 1 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 1/2 cup sweetened condensed milk
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar plus extra for rolling
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup finely chopped nuts optional

Equipment

  • Baking Sheet
  • Parchment Paper

Method

  1. In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter and powdered sugar until light and fluffy.
  2. Add the sweetened condensed milk and vanilla extract, mixing until smooth.
  3. Stir in flour and salt just until a soft dough forms. If using, fold in finely chopped nuts.
  4. Scoop tablespoonfuls of dough and roll into balls. Arrange on a parchment-lined baking sheet with some space between each cookie.
  5. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake cookies for 12–15 minutes, until the bottoms are just turning golden (tops should remain pale).
  6. Cool cookies for 5 minutes, then gently roll in powdered sugar while still slightly warm. Once fully cooled, re-roll in more powdered sugar for a thick, snowy coating.

Notes

These cookies are perfect for the holiday season. You can easily adjust the recipe by adding different types of nuts or flavoring extracts to suit your taste.
