- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a small bowl, combine flour and baking soda; set aside.
- In a large bowl, beat softened butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, salt, and vanilla extract until creamy.
- Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
- Gradually beat in the flour mixture.
- Stir in the chocolate chips and holiday sprinkles.
- Drop dough by rounded tablespoonfuls onto ungreased baking sheets about 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 9-11 minutes or until golden brown around the edges.
- Cool on baking sheets for 2 minutes; remove to wire racks to cool completely.
Notes
Use room temperature butter for a smoother dough and better cookie texture. Chill the dough for 30 minutes before baking to prevent excessive spreading.
