Ingredients

Brownie Mix
  • 2 boxes Family Sized Duncan Hines Chewy Fudge Brownies
  • 6 eggs
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 cup semi sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 1/2 cups Ghiradelli Dark Chocolate wafers
  • Heart Sprinkles optional

Equipment

  • Jelly Roll Pan
  • Cooling Rack

Method

  1. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees. Spray a Jelly Roll pan with cooking spray and line it with parchment paper.
  2. Combine both boxes of brownie mixes with the water, oil, and eggs in a large mixing bowl.
  3. Mix by hand until the lumps are out.
  4. Fold in 1 cup of semi sweet chocolate chips.
  5. Spread mixture into the Jelly Roll Pan and bake for about 30 minutes. Careful not to over bake it.
  6. Let the brownies cool completely and start cutting heart shapes, avoiding getting too close to the edges.
  7. Place them in the freezer for 30 minutes.
  8. Melt your chocolate in a small bowl and get sprinkles ready.
  9. Dip one side of the cold brownie hearts into the melted chocolate. Allow excess chocolate to drip off and place them on a cooling rack.
  10. Immediately apply the sprinkles. With the brownie hearts being cold, the chocolate sets up fast.
  11. Continue dipping hearts and sprinkling the rest of the hearts.
  12. Store in a sealed container until ready to serve or wrap individually for treats.

Notes

These chocolate-dipped brownie hearts make delightful gifts for loved ones or festive treats for parties. Ensure the brownies are completely cool before cutting to maintain their shape.
