Method
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add ricotta, egg, and vanilla. Mix until smooth.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon. Gradually add to wet mixture.
- Fold in orange zest and mini chocolate chips.
- Scoop dough into tablespoon-sized mounds on the baking sheet.
- Bake for 12–14 minutes, or until the edges are just turning golden.
- Cool completely, then dust with powdered sugar and drizzle with melted chocolate if you’d like.
Notes
These get even better the next day as the flavors deepen. Store them in a tin lined with parchment for that old-school, Nonna-approved touch.
